Artificial intelligence supports learning; it does not replace it

AI in education

At Dragón, the American School of Torrelodones, from Middle School onward, AI tailors learning to each student's pace and strengths. It does not replace teachers: it gives them more time and better information to follow each student closely.

A teacher leads a class discussion in front of a screen showing the questions for the session.

Traditional teaching treats every student the same. We use artificial intelligence built specifically for education, so that each student moves at their own pace, gets support exactly where they need it and develops their talent with tools that adapt as they go. It turns lessons into something dynamic, interactive and genuinely personal.

Every student learns at their own pace, with support where they need it

Personal learning guided by mentors, through active teaching methods and an educational AI built for the school

From secondary onward we combine active teaching methods with AI, so that every student develops their potential in their own way and always with their mentor alongside them. The tools let us look at progress as it happens and adjust the learning to what each student needs.

How we do it

  • TauTutor by Turing Dream & Master AI

Our AI system, designed and tested for education, identifies each student’s strengths and the areas to work on, and adjusts the teaching as it goes: timetables, gaps in knowledge, areas of interest to push further, connections between subjects, and everything else AI can offer.

  • Learning built on real data

We look at individual performance to recommend content, reinforce skills and make the whole process work better.

  • Intelligent support for teachers

Our AI, trained by specialist agents, helps teachers design better study plans, reorganize timetables and reinforce content, spotting difficulties before they turn into problems.

A classroom made more interactive by AI

Technology and teaching, both in the service of learning

Beyond making learning personal, students in the higher grades use AI to change what happens in the classroom itself. They are not there to consume information: they experiment, they make things and they take an active part in their own learning.

Technology in the classroom, in practice

  • Adaptive learning platforms

Software that adjusts how hard the exercises are according to how the student is progressing.

  • AI for learning

Intelligent assistants that help with languages (correcting pronunciation and giving instant feedback), with science (pitching explanations to how far the student has actually got) and with art (helping students express what moves them, consciously and over time).

  • Reading and writing analysis

Automated assessment of written work to improve both written expression and reading comprehension.

AI and the role of the teacher

More time to guide, to inspire and to be there

From secondary onward, students are introduced to responsible use of AI. It does not replace teachers: it gives them more tools to teach each student personally. With it, our teachers can focus on what matters most, which is being alongside students as they grow.

What AI gives teachers

  • A view of progress across every subject

The AI looks at how each student is really doing across all their subjects at once, which lets teachers see both how a child learns and where the gaps are that need work.

  • Time used well

Teachers can see a student’s standing in every subject at a glance, which leaves more of their time for teaching their own subject in the way that works best.

  • Feedback as it happens

Early warnings about difficulties, so that help arrives sooner and works better.

Ethics and responsibility

Artificial intelligence that is transparent, safe and centered on the student

The AI we use is built specifically for education, and we apply it under clear ethical rules: it is there to support, never to monitor. Privacy, safety and fairness are the foundations of how we use it.

What we hold to

  • Privacy and safety

Students’ data is fully protected, in line with international regulations.

  • Transparent algorithms

The systems are designed to be clear, without bias and without decisions nobody can explain.

  • AI centered on the student

Always a support to teaching, never a replacement for the human part of it.

The AI assists, the mentor decides and the student learns.
